There is no question that modern cell phone is a valuable tool that can enhance productivity for many. We keep in touch with friends, family, and collegues. And we can be reached by co-workers for important, critical, time sensitive issues. But there also times when cellphones are the number one cause in diminishing productivity And this is especially true in the workplace.

Some employees receive literally dozens of personal calls during thier day at work. And in fact the cell phone has become the number one cause of errors. Whether it be during the prepeartion of an important docuement of attending to a customer sale.

MY KIDS AND TEXT MESSAGING
Last week I attempted to have what I thought was an important conversation with my daughter. It started out just fine but during the first five or ten minutes of the conversation my duaghter never looked at me once. Instead she received and sent text messages on her cell phone. Enough I said, turn off that phone and listen to me.
