CELLULAR DETECTORS are another option and solutiion for controlling the use of cellular telephones. These devices can detect the presance of a CELL PHONE that is on or in use in a restricted area. Some detectors can produce an audable alarm, or a voice anouncement stating that the user is in a restricted zone or area.

Other types of detectors can be used to home in on or, identify the exact location, such as a room, office or cell so that officials may stem the use of the cellular phione. Some types of detectors can be used in conjunction with a JAMMER. The detector tells the JAMMER that a CELL PHONE is in the restricted area and the JAMMER should initiate the JAMMING function. When the cell phone leaves the quiet area, the JAMMING signal stops.
